Rocky Horror Glee Show

UCLA – Grad Theoretical Project

For this theoretical project, we redesigned the last scene of Glee’s Rocky Horror Picture Show episode: Season 2, Episode 5.  We could change around the cast if we chose to, so I gave Mike Chang the opportunity to be Dr. Frank N’ Furter, although he claims he can’t sing.

I felt it wasn’t a big enough push to have Mercedes cast as Dr. Frank N’ Furter, these corsets and sexy clothing were originally designed for women and I can’t see how that would be pushing the envelope. Mercedes would be excellent as Eddie; she has a powerful voice and it would be yet another character cross dressing to further push the show. What was racy to an audience when Rocky Horror Picture Show came out is completely different to today’s audience. I wanted to keep is racy and relevant for today’s audience.
